About Our School

Our vision is to encourage our community to value the importance of early learning among our youngest citizens. We believe children’s academic success is shaped by a vibrant, purposeful and nurturing learning environment.

The Early Childhood Center opened in Spring 2006 and is located in Aurora, Illinois. There are currently fourteen preschool classrooms; ten full day preschool which includes five bilingual and five ESL classrooms. There are also four half day classrooms; which includes three bilingual and one ESL with a total of 350 students. The district JumpStart program is also housed at the Early Childhood Center, which provides services for children and families from prenatal to three years old. Students range in ages from three to five years old. Teachers focus not only on building language and literacy and basic math skills through a child-centered learning, but also the necessary social and emotional development students will need to be successful as they continue growing. At The Early Childhood Center we work collaboratively as a team and work hard every day to help each child grow, succeed and, exceed his or her optimal potential!
